WALL DESIGN

Crossing over into the world of interior design is merely an extension of my studio work, a natural progression that allows me to blend my artistic vision with functional living spaces. As an artist, I possess an innate ability to visualize a wide array of concepts, ideas, and themes that you or I can imagine. This imaginative process is not just a fleeting thought; it is a deeply ingrained skill that I have honed over the years through countless hours of practice and exploration. My role is to take these vivid mental images and translate them into tangible realities, crafting environments that resonate with beauty and purpose.

The act of visualizing and creating is the driving force of my days, fueling my passion and inspiring my work. My approach is holistic; I consider the interplay of light, the flow of movement, and the emotional impact of every element within the room. Each project presents a unique challenge, a blank canvas waiting to be filled with color, texture, and form. My goal is to understand what kind of environment is trying to be evoked and help to amplify. I am constantly inspired to create high vibrational harmonious environments.

Ultimately, the fusion of art and interior design allows me to express my creativity in new and exciting ways, bridging the gap between artistic concepts and everyday living. It is this synergy that drives my passion and commitment to my craft, as I continuously seek to push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of design. Each project is an opportunity to explore, innovate, and bring forth a vision that enhances the quality of life for those who inhabit the spaces I create.

My most recent project was for a Brooklyn design firm, Dutch East Design, in the Waymark Hotel. I was given the digital rendering as well the blueprint schematics for the wall to be made. This enabled me to translate the 2D design into a 3D clay mock-up of the individual tiles to be produced by looking at each tile as its own sculpture. The impact of this wall design truly blends the three main visual elements of the building; the historic plaster crown molding, the mid century fixtures, and the biophilic elements found in the textiles and rooftop restaurant.

I would love to work with you in designing your own unique space- whether it be for public use or private. I am able to work from a computer rendering of the space, blueprint specifications, and my favorite, imagination. Bespoke interior design elements has such warmth and depth that mass produced objects can never give you.
